The Sagho djebel is the eastern extension of the Anti-Atlas, a volcanic mountain with granitic mamelons, basaltic organs, chaos of black shales, pink sandstones... at the gates of the Sahara. Absolute plenitude and the desire to take to the track. From flat expanses to rolling hills, from sharp relief to steep canyons : pure, original nature. The character is strong, rustic but the heart is soft. The colours are soft and gentle. Ochre, pink, brown, violet, the colour chart stretches in a gradation of shimmering pastels, sometimes accompanied by an overwhelming heat. Eldorado in the heart of the desert, rare are the oases ; modest green spots in the infinitely large, they are the reminders that we are on African soil. The wild charm of the Sagho is due to its exceptional geology : high cliffs and steep peaks, tabular escarpments and deep canyons in the middle of which caravans of camels and mules circulate. When you arrive on these immense plateaus, the lunar horizon is so vast that you want to go everywhere at once to see if it is really as beautiful elsewhere ! The Sagho also surprises by the richness of its lights : limpid like those of the nearby Sahara, or sometimes in half-tone, as in the neighbouring Dades valley. The Sagho is also the Morocco of the last Berber nomads, descendants of the ancient lords Aït Atta. In autumn, after leaving the snows of the High Atlas, they set up their dark wool tents on the slopes of the jebel until spring. They can neither read nor write, but they are sure of their way through the Atlas Mountains and the Moroccan desert. La France va mal. L'état quasi insurrectionnel dans lequel notre pays se trouve depuis quelques mois pourrait finalement représenter un bien, car nous ne pouvons plus éluder le besoin d'une refondation politique. Les deux tiers de nos concitoyens reconnaissent que notre pays n'est pas vraiment démocratique. L'audit réalisé par l'Institut pour la démocratie leur donne raison. Il montre en effet que le meilleur moyen de résoudre les problèmes de la France serait de respecter les règles de la démocratie, désormais clairement explicitées. Il suffirait que celles-ci soient inscrites dans le préambule de la Constitution pour que nous soyons obligés d'entreprendre les réformes qui s'imposent. Or, les choix constitutionnels relèvent de la stricte compétence du citoyen, pour deux raisons : les gouvernants sont juge et partie, et ils sont leurs mandataires. Les Français ont donc le pouvoir de faire sortir leur pays du marasme. Ils doivent exiger pour cela que notre système politique se mette aux normes (de la démocratie). Une occasion unique se présente aujourd'hui. A l'issue du Grand débat national, il suffirait qu'une centaine de délégués du citoyen, dûment mandatés à cet effet, prennent acte des derniers progrès de la connaissance sur le sujet, pour qu'ils s'accordent sur un projet de Constitution de la démocratie française. Les effets de son adoption seront ensuite considérables.

Ancient Greek by Its Translators
When not familiar with the language itself, most readers over the centuries have had access to the ancient Greek texts only or mostly through (Latin or vernacular) translations. Such an approach is not only indirect and mediated, but also distorted and even impoverishing : meaning then prevails over the linguistic form and substance of the texts themselves. What do later or modern readers read when they read translated texts written in an ancient so-called dead language ? They read a given meaning - sometimes unfaithful, often inaccurate - dictated by a genuine understanding, the blind continuation of tradition, or an untold hidden intention. The complex range of significances conveyed by meaning simultaneously reflects the time and space (called synchrony) of when and where a text has been translated, the historical learning and linguistic skills of the translators, as well as their ideas and style. As a contribution to the perennial debate about translation (mere literary transliteration vs. creative transposition), this volume aims at analyzing some striking cases of various (literary or not) texts translated from ancient Greek showing how much for the seventeenth and eighteenth centuries aesthetics and ideology matter as much as - and often even more than - rigorous philology.

La peinture de Georges Troubat est vivante, au sens plein : elle régie son pas sur les impulsions du vivant. Son animation procède de la vie elle-même, à laquelle elle retourne comme un acquiescement permanent. Cet homme que l'on croit pressé est un nageur ébloui, et sa peinture témoigne pour un monde qui ne serait qu'éblouissement. The game that is started over and over, is then infinite. This man was always very active in his life, but nothing lasts forever, the flow takes us with it and we have to swim with it. The creative act only exists by repetition as it's tied to the pace, to the mouvements of time, to the passing seasons, to the world's rhythms. George Troubat's painting is alive, taking on the whole meaning of the word : it regulates its pace on the impulsion of the living. Its animation begins from life itself, to whom it goes back to, like a perpetual approbation. This man, who we think in a hurry, is a dazzling swimmer and his painting attests for a world which would only be dazzling.

This study reconstructs Brittain's feminist theory, which mainly refutes assumptions made about women, supports companionate marriage, and demands the communal reorganization of child care and domestic work to enable a married woman to work outside her home. It compares her theory to her five novels. Doing so, it uncovers revealing feminist 'flaws', above all that marriage remains, the sine qua non for a woman's happiness. The study describes Brittain's way to the top as a formidable obstacle race, in which she constantly had to fight the men she loved, her children, her parents, and resulting domesticity in order to find time to write "the book of the decade". She reached her goal with the publication of Testament of Youth in 1933.

A Study of Conversion Among The Angas of Plateau State of Nigeria With Emphasis on Christianity
This is so far the most-detailed information on the Angas (Ngas), the largest ethnic group on the Jos Plateau, Nigeria. The book draws up a sketch of both the political and ecclesiastical history of the people. This is followed by socio-anthropological data about the people including a description of the traditional religion of the Angas (Ngas). The material serves as the necessary springboard for discussing the factors that were responsible for the conversion of the Angas (Ngas) people of Nigeria. The author concludes his thesis by giving a theoretical analysis of some of the theories of conversion per se and opting for a Hortonian theory as the most cogent. It is certainly an indispensable work dealing with conversion to and from any religion although in this case Christianity is used as a focus.

Phenomenological Realism
The phenomenology of Edmund Husserl is being analyzed in regard to its ontological implications. It is demonstrated that Husserl's method of reduction directly leads to an ontological idealism for which there is no epistemological justification. An alternative to this "idealistic" misunderstanding of the phenomenological approach is being developed in applying Heidegger's existential analysis to questions of epistemology and transcendental philosophy. It is thus shown that phenomenology may be established on safer grounds : not on the basis of a pure transcendental subject, but on life-world understood in the realistic sense of transcending the ego.
