Günter Wagner, born 5 July 1928 in Jüterborg, Germany, studied theology in Hamburg and in Zurich, where he received a doctoral degree in 1960. From 1956 till 1958 he was employed as research assistant and representative of the German Free Churches at the Ecumenical Centre of the "Arbeitsgemeinschaft Christlicher Kirchen" in Frankfurt. In 1958 he was appointed as instructor for New Testament Studies at the Baptist Theological Seminary, Rüschlikon, continuing as associate professor (1961), and professor of New Testament Studies (1965) for 35 years until his retirement in 1993. Günter Wagner is a member of numerous ecumenical committees and societies for biblical studies, and has taught as visiting professor and lecturer in Europe, America, and Africa. He is editor of "Exegetical Bibliographies" and co-editor of the book series "Die Kirchen der Welt" and the ecumenical journal Una Sancta ; he served on the editorial board of the exegetical journal "New Testament Studies". His publications of articles in biblical and exegetical journals and particularly his book on "Pauline Baptism and Pagan Mysteries" have established his scholarly reputation worldwide.

Cependant il y trouve un jour un homme qui se présente comme le secrétaire du Président de la société Rokudo. Son chef vient de mourir et il a laissé un empire très convoité derrière lui. Il apprend à Shiro qu'il n'est autre que son unique fils biologique mais il lui demande de renoncer à cet héritage. Ce dernier n'aime pas recevoir d'ordres et refuse la proposition. Les trois enfants illégitimes de Rokudo apprennent l'existence de Shiro et décident de s'en débarrasser en engageant des tueurs. Mais c'est bien mal connaître la force du caïd qui va déclencher une guerre sans précédent ! Les coups vont pleuvoir !

Sources and Dynamics of Macroeconomic Fluctuations in Switzerland: Evidence from a Structural Vector Autoregressive Approach
The economic stagnation experienced in Switzerland in the 1990s has intensified the debate about the primary causes of economic fluctuations in small-open-economies. However, conclusive empirical evidence on the relative importance of real vs. nominal and domestic vs. foreign influences is scarce. A lack of identification often prevents the unveiling of underlying fundamental shocks and causes empirical puzzles in applied work. In a model for the Swiss economy these problems can be overcome with a correct specification of the open-economy setting and the identification of monetary policy. Structural vector autoregressions provide an effective tool to incorporate these structural aspects into modeling, without restricting dynamic interactions among the variables. This model can be applied to assess the transmission channels and the relative importance of different sources of shocks for the Swiss business cycle. The evidence is clear-cut : real domestic shocks and foreign shocks by far dominate economic activity in Switzerland. Exchange rates emerge as an important transmission channel for foreign shocks in the Swiss economy. Therefore, even though monetary policy does not seem to be a major source of fluctuations by itself, it still has a potentially important role to play in macroeconomic stabilization. The model is applied to study the specific situation of the Swiss economy in the nineties. During that period it can be shown, that Switzerland witnessed two mini cycles with substantially different sources.

To mark the 100th birthday of Ursula Mamlok (1923 - 2016), Boosey & Hawkes Bote & Bock, in collaboration with the Dwight and Ursula Mamlok Foundation, is publishing a series of works from the composer's estate that were not published during her lifetime. Alariana, composed in 1985, is in many respects a "typical Mamlok" : The mixed instrumentation of winds and strings in distant registers makes for a transparent sound, the movement is airily polyphonic, and the five aphoristically short movements, together lasting about seven minutes, follow classical movement types in a contrastful alternation of characters. Of particular charm are a passacaglia over ostinato bassoon staccatos in the middle section of the fourth movement and the quiet ending of the fifth movement. St.-Gilles-du-Gard: The West Facade Figured Frieze
The west facade of St.-Gilles presents one of the most important sculptural programs of Gaul, but its date remains problematic. Unresolved questions of style are aggravated by physical irregularities in the facade, particularly the figured frieze, that have been attributed to a change of plan. Inconsistencies in individual frieze reliefs have been ignored or interpreted solely according to that theory. The scope of these inconsistencies and their import to the frieze and facade chronology are studied.

Marriage and Divorce in the Plays of Hermann Sudermann
This study investigates Sudermann's plays from a socio-historical and literary-historical perspective. His plays are a response to a crisis of marriage. That crisis had its roots in the Romantic period and came to a head when the conservative Bürgerliches Gesetzbuch was introduced in 1900. Of particular significance is Es lebe das Leben (1902). The manuscripts of this play reveal that here Sudermann moved from a Realist treatment of marital difficulties to an exploration of the crisis of the realist literary system and a search for a Modernist treatment of divorce. His plays on marriage, divorce, courtship and the problems of single men and women constitute a sustained attempt to modify or at times radically to challenge the presentation of marriage in the Realist literary system.

During the last few years, gay and lesbian rights have reached the European Union human rights agenda and different instruments to combat discrimination have been adopted, which have had major implications for the gay and lesbian communities all over Europe, This volume focuses on less known and less studied aspects of these accomplishments. Its originality lies both in the multidisciplinary nature and the international approach of this project ; researchers from different universities throughout Europe (Brussels, Leiden, Stockholm, Athens, Ljubljana, Budapest, Bucharest, Paris and Krakow) and from different disciplines (law, political science, sociology and journalism) have contributed to this volume.
