Jacques Bonaventure, data scientiste canadien de renom, arrive en France pour élucider une série de morts inexplicables. Des hommes en noir l'emmènent sur une base militaire où experts et médecins se cassent les dents. Ce qui ressemble à une nouvelle maladie dépasse leur entendement. Rien ne semble pouvoir enrayer cette épidémie planétaire. Notre héros va faire des rencontres étonnantes au cours de la semaine la plus déterminante de sa vie. Un général trois étoiles, des gendarmes immobiles, des barbouzes, une séduisante biologiste, des hackers, un directeur de cabinet. La plus intrigante n'est pas celle d'un être humain, mais d'un ordinateur quantique et de son non moins mystérieux concepteur. Trois jours s'écoulent sans avancée significative. Ses rêves pour une fois ne lui apprennent rien. Des visions futuristes d'une tour attaquée par des pirates de l'air, qui reviennent le hanter nuit après nuit. Et soudain son ami et associé tombe malade, le contraignant à retourner au Canada pour affronter son ex-femme et un passé qu'il cherche à fuir inconsciemment. Au fil de ses intuitions, il comprend qu'il affronte la plus grande vague de crimes en série jamais orchestrée. La tension monte jour après jour tandis que les signes d'un complot se multiplient. Quelqu'un ou quelque chose s'ingénie à le contrer, introduit des virus dans ce Datacenter hyper sécurisé. On le soupçonne bientôt d'être lui-même impliqué. Une partie très serrée s'engage alors que les pics de mortalité se succèdent. Les rêves et la réalité convergent vers une conclusion inéluctable. Qui seront les survivants de cette terrible hécatombe ? Le moment approche de choisir son camp.

Lorsque Constantin Salameh a atterri, il y a presque quatre ans, à l'aéroport d'Accra, il ne soupçonnait pas que plus d'une centaine de vols s'ensuivraient et le mèneraient vers sa destinée profonde. Si les trente-cinq dernières années passées au service de multinationales et de grands groupes d'investissement, un peu partout dans le monde, lui ont apporté une solide expertise, est arrivé un moment où il a finalement réalisé que son désir intime était de pousser son action encore plus loin et de tenter de faire une différence, c'est-à-dire d'aider là où le besoin était le plus grand. Ce vécu a résonné très fort dans son coeur et l'a poussé à publier cet ouvrage qui représente la quintessence de ce que l'Afrique lui a apporté, sur le plan personnel et émotionnel, et qu'il souhaite lui rendre. Governing the young poor in switzerland. How the Moral Foundations of Work Ethics Guide Social Assistance Discourse
The present research deals with the policies directed at young adults on social assistance without vocational training (YAS). Drawing on data collected within cantonal administrations and providers of integration (Basel-City and Geneva) as well as interviews with YAS, the publication analysis cantonal social policies and their moral underpinnings. In Switzerland, there is an ongoing strategical shift in the field of youth policies that emphasizes educational integration as a first and primary integration step. This policy shift has implications for the strategical scope of the cantons. The focus on "education first" as a guideline dictates an approach, which follows an intertwined neo-liberal and paternalistic discourse : On the one hand, social policies are designed as investment to avoid a long-term labour market exclusion of the YAS. On the other hand, these policies are legitimized via narratives that construct the YAS as irresponsible and dependent – not yet ready to enter adulthood. In doing so, social policies create and reproduce structural vulnerabilities related to dominant moral values like reinforcing the work ethics of young welfare beneficiaries.
